Privacy policy
This explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, who else can see it, and how to get it removed. Last updated 11 September 2026.
What we collect
When you fill in an estimate form we collect your name and phone number, both required, and your email address, the type of job and any detail you choose to add, all optional. We also record which page you submitted from, so we know what you were looking at when you asked.
We do not ask for payment details on this website, and you should never send them through the form. If you become a customer, payment is arranged separately.
Why we collect it
To quote your job and get back to you. That is the only reason. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
Who else can see it
Running a website means using a few services, and each of them sees some data. These are the ones that do:
- Cloudflare hosts this site and filters spam on the form. It sees your IP address and browser, and provides our visitor counts. Its analytics use no cookies and do not follow you to other websites.
- Resend delivers the form to our inbox and sends your confirmation email. It sees what you typed into the form.
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager tell us which pages get used and which adverts bring people here. These set cookies.
- PostHog shows us how pages are used so we can fix what is confusing. It is configured not to use cookies, and to respect your browser's Do Not Track setting.
Each of these stores data outside Canada, mostly in the United States, and is subject to the laws of the country it operates in.
Cookies
The Google services above set cookies to measure visits and advertising. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and the site will still work. Our Cloudflare and PostHog measurement does not use cookies at all.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email for as long as we may need them, which for a business record is usually a few years. Website measurement data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Your rights
Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over an encrypted connection and the form is protected against automated abuse. No system is perfect, and we will tell you if something happens that puts your information at real risk.
Children
This site is for people arranging work at a property. It is not aimed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious on the page rather than buried.
