One mattress. One couch. One fridge. A single item is a normal job here, not a favour, and it gets the same crew and the same truck as a full load.
Most single items are the ones that are hard to move alone: a mattress that will not fit in the car, a couch the new owners did not want, the fridge in the basement that has not run in years. The City landfill will take any of them, but only if you can get it there, and a couch on a car roof is not a plan.
Tell us what it is, where it is and when you want it gone. We carry it out from the room it is in, load it, and take it to the landfill, the recycler or the charity store, whichever fits. You get one price for the whole thing before we start.
The truck is coming anyway. If there is a second item, a bag of garage junk or a pile behind the shed, it is cheaper to send it on the same visit than to call again next month.
Where it goes
One item still pays the landfill minimum or a surcharge, and fridges and freezers go to the recycler. These are the 2026 rates if you would rather make the run yourself.

Closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Kamloops, east side. Friday to Monday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Cash only.
Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The yard waste site closes December 1 to March 1.

Yes. A single item is a normal job. We quote it like any other, and it is often on the truck the same day.
Yes. We carry it out from wherever it is. Tell us which floor and whether there are tight turns, and send a photo if the route is unusual.
Not always. If the item is outside, in a carport or in an open garage, it can often be picked up without you. Call or text 250-682-6262 and we will tell you straight.
That is a single item too, just a bigger job. We drain it and cut it down on site so it fits through the gate. See the hot tub removal page for what that involves.
The City’s curbside cart is for bagged garbage, not furniture or appliances, and a mattress on the boulevard tends to stay there. Book it and we will take it from where it sits.
