Garage, basement, storage and estate clear-outs in Kamloops

A room that has been filling up for years, emptied in a day. We sort it, load it and take it away, and what is still good gets donated instead of dumped.

What the job actually involves

A clear-out is different from a pickup. Nobody knows exactly what is in there, some of it is worth keeping, some of it is worth giving away, and the rest has to go. We bring a crew, work through it with you or from your list, and keep the piles straight: keep, donate, recycle, garbage.

That covers a garage that has not held a car in a decade, a basement that turned into the storage room, a locker you are done paying for, a rental unit after the tenants, and the hardest one, a parent’s home after they have gone. The pace is yours.

What we clear

  • Garages, sheds and carports
  • Basements, crawlspaces and attics
  • Storage lockers and storage rooms
  • Rental units and move-outs
  • Whole homes and estates

Before we arrive

  • Pull out what you are keeping, or mark it clearly
  • Tell us if anything needs a second look before it goes
  • Say whether you will be there or working from a list
  • Send a photo of the space and the access

Estates and family homes

Clearing a parent’s home is slow, personal work, and the last thing you need is a crew rushing you. Tell us how you want it done. Things that are still good go to a charity store rather than the landfill.

Clear-outs, in the customer’s words

Joseph and his crew at Lightning Rubbish Removal are the BEST crew for removing junk from a property in a timely fashion. Lightning is in the name, but they really live up to it! I've used them a couple times now in the course of real estate transactions where a property is left with too much junk and debris for one man to handle and they take all the stress away. They arrive on time, they arrive in force, and they arrive with a good attitude ready to get the job done. I would recommend Lightning Rubbish Removal to clients in the future for sure!

This was our second time using them. First was to remove junk from our backyard and they were fantastic. This time around we had a garage FULL of renovation debris and they made short work of removing it all and it’s nice to have the garage back! They’re polite, courteous, honest and hard working. Thanks fellas!

Reply from the owner: Thank you so much Garret, Im very pleased your happy with our hard work , thanks for the call to help again

Clear-out questions

Do I need to be there?

Not always. Call or text 250-682-6262 to talk through the job and we will tell you straight whether we need you on site.

What happens to the things that are still good?

They go to donation instead of the landfill. Kamloops charity stores take usable furniture, appliances and household goods, and keeping that weight off the scale keeps your price down.

Can you clear a storage locker?

Yes. Meet us there or arrange access with the facility, and we empty it in one visit so you can hand back the key that day.

What about paint, chemicals and electronics?

They come out with everything else and go to the right place. The City landfill takes household paint, batteries, propane tanks and electronics for free recycling, and the City runs a household hazardous waste facility for the rest.

Would a bin be cheaper?

Sometimes, if you want to do the sorting and carrying yourself over a few weekends. A crew is faster and does the carrying. Describe the space and we will tell you which one fits.

How much does a clear-out cost in Kamloops?

It depends on how full the space is, how heavy the contents are, which floor it is on and how much can be donated instead of tipped. Call or text 250-682-6262 with a couple of photos and we will give you a free estimate.
